Connect Claude and other MCP apps
Let an app like Claude read and change ControlClaw for you
An MCP app, like Claude or Claude Code, can use the ControlClaw console for you. It can read your agents, firewall rules, requests and settings in one organization, and change them if you allow it.
Connect an app
The server URL is:
https://controlclaw.com/api/mcpIt is also on the Devices page, under Apps, with a Copy button.
- Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, mobile): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste the URL. Leave the client ID and secret empty.
- Claude Code: run
claude mcp add --transport http controlclaw https://controlclaw.com/api/mcp, then/mcpto sign in. - Other MCP apps: add it as a remote (Streamable HTTP) server with OAuth.
The app opens a ControlClaw page in your browser:
- Sign in, the same way you sign in to the console.
- Choose an organization, if you belong to more than one. A connection works in one organization only.
- Allow. Reading is always included. Owners and admins can also allow Change settings. Only allow an "Unverified app" if you started the connection yourself.
What the app can do
It acts as you, with your role, in that organization. Members can let an app read; owners and admins can also let it start and stop agents, change firewall and security rules, and answer permission requests. It never sees secrets, API keys or confirmation codes, and it cannot create or delete agents, or touch billing or members.
Changes that need a 6-digit code from your firewall still need it: the app asks you for the code. If the app can also read the chat the codes arrive in, an owner or admin can turn on Confirmation codes in the console only under Devices → Apps. Apps then ask you to type the code in the console instead.
Disconnect an app
Open Devices in the console sidebar. Under Apps you see the apps you connected, with when each was connected and last used. Disconnect stops an app at its next request.
Owners and admins also see everyone else's apps in the organization and can disconnect them, for example when someone leaves.
